The existing situation of the dominance of the digital economy requires
a quality leap in establishing legislations and regulatory circumstances
for electronic transactions in order to keep a pace with this
development and modernity and at the same time to catch up
with the fast transformations affecting the different aspects of
the electronic transactions in the know-how acquisition and promotion,
social interaction, economic and social activities, media, education
and culture, health, and most importantly in the political, administrative
and service operations.
In
light of these challenges, LETS’09 Forum takes place to form the
first Arab scientific and legal platform for specialists and
experts to put forth the international and Arab experiences as a
basis for efficient participation in common efforts to find a Unified
Arab Law which shall constitute a bridge between the Arab economies
and their international counterparts in the Western World.
This
unique Forum will highlight how technology can empower the country's
citizens by providing them with the safe legal e-transactions operations
giving them an easy access to information and services provided
by both the private and public sectors.
LETS’09
Forum will be held at the InterContinental Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut
between February 24th and 26th, 2009. This event will bring together
a big number of diplomats, members of Arab and European Parliaments,
officials, regulators, judges, arbitrators, managing directors,
IT consultants, prominent experts in legislation and e-governments,
and business leaders.
